Hi, I’m Marie

Finding freedom through meaningful work, empathetic connection, and a generous spirit.

As a writer, creator, and educator at heart, I never set out to be a Project Manager or Communications Manager.

I began my career in the classroom, teaching the bright faces of 5th graders every day. Few things have brought me more joy than facilitating the learning of children. As my career journey led me to Project Management, I found myself at Cisco supporting the Department of Defense on the U.S. Public Sector team.

In my time at Cisco, I have used my skills in design, communication, and organization as I have participated in the planning, drafting, and distribution of organization-wide blogs, emails, and SharePoint sites, as well as the planning and execution of All-Hands events. This led to an opportunity to join Cisco’s CX America’s Communications team in support of theater and media communication efforts, such as the CX Americas Desk to Desk Podcast. In addition, I am currently a Communications Pillar member of the FY23 Executive Shadow Planning Team.

In FY21, it was my honor to receive the George Hansen Leadership Award, which recognizes the top Individual Contributor in U.S. Public Sector.
